The 10th International IGC Symposium on 15 June 2021 - Online again!
The Art of Molecular Surface Sensing by Inverse Gas Chromatograph

The 10th International IGC Symposium

on 15 June 2021 - Online again!

The Art of Molecular Surface Sensing by Inverse Gas Chromatography
The 10th IGC symposium focuses on effective and valuable surface characterization of powders, fibers and plates based on the dynamic adsorption of up to 20 different gas probes, also known as Inverse Gas Chromatography (IGC). Key objective of the symposium is the exchange of practical experiences and ideas of users. This covers many applications, but also underlying theoretical aspects and the ongoing round-robin results of more than 12 organizations. The Art of Molecular Surface Sensing by Inverse Gas Chromatography was chosen as this year’s caption to highlight the more subtle aspects of IGC, especially the use of different concentrations ranging from ideal single probe molecule adsorption to full surface coverage and adsorption isotherms.
The presentations will cover

Many practical applications of surface characterizations by IGC

Some theoretical aspects of IGC

New uses and experiences of IGC

Q&A sessions

Who should attend
The program is compact and ideally suited for industry representatives from R&D, product development and analytical departments as well as researchers from academia interested in real use of IGC.A brief introduction into IGC as an analytical technique will be given before. This year the IGC Symposium will be online again. We decided to offer it free to all participants. Join the symposium from anywhere in the world.
Speakers:
Inverse Gas Chromatography applied in the analysis of heterogeneous catalysts used in the synthesis of fine chemicals Jan Schütz, Senior Scientist, DSM Nutritional Products, SwitzerlandCoating of complex surfaces by metall organic chemical vapour deposition and characterization by IGCRalf Dümpelmann, Inolytix, Switzerland and Ronny Fritsche Wicoatec, GermanyStudy of the Permeability of Low Molecular Weight Alcohols in Hydroxylpropyl Xylan Films Using Inverse Gas ChromatographyPhilip YK Choi, Professor, University of Alberta, Canada Surface properties of cementitious materials characterized by inverse gas chromatographyFranco Zunino, Researcher, EPFL, SwitzerlandSurface Interaction Parameters via IGC – A Next Generation ConceptSteven Abbott, Ipswich, UKInfinite dilution and finite concentration in IGC and how are these extremes connected!Eric Brendle, AdscientisYou find more details about the speakers and the abstracts on:https://inverse-chromatography.com/FAQsWhere do I find the access data for this online event? After registering you will receive a confirmation and the access data by mail.
