About this event

Are you going through some rough weather at the moment?

Do your clients have to deal with some unsolicited challenges?

Or is your team or organisation as a whole confronted with difficulties?

Then this four-part workshop series on resilience may provide the inspiration you are looking for. Drawing on their experience in Solution Focused coaching and therapy, Anton and his colleagues at Ilfaro have crafted a straightforward compass to help individuals navigate life’s inevitable challenges.

The four cardinal points of this compass symbolize the actions resilient people tend to take when confronting difficulties and set-backs: Accepting, Bearing, Connecting and Doing.

Over four sessions, we will delve into each cardinal point and explore how you can help the people around you to enhance their resilience in a Solution Focused way.

Monday 22 April, 2024 at 9:00 - 11:00 am

1. Accepting: to embrace the aspects of life we didn’t choose. When working in a Solution Focused way, we pay attention to the way in which people manage to accept whatever happens or happened to them in the past.

Monday 6 May, 2024 at 9 :00 - 11:00 am

2. Bearing: regaining strengths by focusing on the direction you want to followAs Solution Focused professionals, we assist clients in identifying what is important to them at present. Remaining close to the current situation, we explore what better can look like tomorrow.

Monday 27 May, 2024 at 9:00 - 11:00 am

3. Connecting: using our strengths and connecting to the people around usNoticing and validating these resources (from the Latin resurgere: to rise) is at the center of Solution Focused approach.

Monday 10 June, 2024 at 9:00 - 11:00 am

4. Doing: rather than seeking a perfect solution to our challenges, take small stepsAs we don’t master the situation we are in, we should not be looking for the solution that will tackle the difficulties we are facing. What we can do, however, is taking small steps that bring about changes that help us to get unstuck. In Solution focus we either identify what works in order to do more of that or, when things are not working, we focus on doing something differently.

Our online resilience program offers a blend of practical conversational tools, inspirational philosophical insights and hands-on exercises, equipping you to be a reliable companion for others in turbulent times.

At the end of these sessions, you will

  • gain new insights in Solution Focus.
  • acquire new skills to assist others effectively.
  • discover new ways to deal with difficult situations yourself.
  • and most importantly: become more comfortable when helping others in difficult situations.
