Arlesheim to Merian Gärten Hike

Details:

This hike is for those with intermediate hiking skills and will take roughly 4:00 hours (give or take) and is approximately 12+ km in length.

The route begins with a gradual, but steady uphill climb through the trees in Arlesheim. The hike up is approximately 30+ minutes and will then level out. We will then proceed on to Muttenz through trails, woods and wide paths. Please bring a picnic lunch and water to be enjoyed before we drop into Muttenz.

The final destination of this route will be the impressive Merian Gärten (Basel's Botanical Garden).

Unfortunately, this is not a child-friendly hike. Dogs, however, are welcome.

Meeting Place: Arlesheim Dorf Stop (Tram 10)

Return: Merian Gärten (Tram 14)

Attire: Please wear hiking clothes and sturdy hiking boots. Bring a picnic lunch, plently of water and sun protection.

A Special Note on Time: We will wait for one tram after 10:00. If you are late, we unfortunately begin the hike without you.
