Through the Looking Glass: Diving into Distorted Realities of AI-infused Art

The metaphor of the looking glass has intrigued minds and inspired imaginations for centuries, weaving its way through literature, philosophy, and art. Gaining more layers of meaning in Lewis Carroll's tale about Alice, this symbol became more than a mere object, but a portal to a distorted world, where the boundaries between fantasy and reality blur. Imagine stepping through a looking glass into a surreal realm where logic twists and turns like a labyrinth, and the rules of the world as you know them are rewritten. Well... We are already there!Exploring the myriad ways in which AI reshapes the landscape of artistic creation and interpretation, from algorithmic masterpieces to immersive experiences, we will focus on how AI-infused art defies conventional boundaries. During the talk, we will confront the ethical dilemmas, IP disputes, famous AI-related scandals, and existential questions in the back of your mind:- What does it mean to be an artist in a world where creativity is no longer confined to human hands?- How do we preserve the authenticity and integrity of art in an era of machine-generated imagery? We will not be alone in this discussion - an outstanding guest artist will join our event to give us the behind-the-scenes look into the artistic process, but that's a surprise!See you soon!Walk-ins are welcome; payment can be made on site.
