Once again, Zurich Art Weekend is excited to present its Art Walks on the occasion of Zurich Art November 2022. Get to know Zurich’s thriving art scene following the footsteps of young curators and art mediators. You will visit selected art venues and discover upcoming and /or established artists through a two hours walk.
Art used as a tool for resistance to the boundaries imposed on our daily lives through political structures and digital technologies lies in the focus of this Art Walk. Visiting selected venues in Zurich West, we will explore the inspiring and surprising artistic strategies which the artists employed to challenge the constraints of consumerist society and to perceive the world from a new perspective. We will start at Galerie Peter Kilchmann (Zahnradstrasse), then move to Last Tango and end up at WE ARE AIA I Awareness in Art at the Löwenbräukunst.

Jonas Sebastian Lendenmann is a theatre producer and artist based in Ticino and Zurich. His works and research focus on the impact of digital technologies on our society, the potential of open data in the cultural field, and the debate about collections from colonial contexts in European museums. He is a member of the OpenGLAM working group of opendata.ch, as well as the Schweizerischer Arbeitskreis Provenienzforschung (Swiss Provenance Research Association, provenienzforschung.ch). He is currently working at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK and at the Museum Rietberg.
