The world was woefully unprepared for this pandemic but, collectively, we have worked to outrun a virus that had previously eluded us. SARS-CoV-2 has evolved, persisted, and proved predictions wrong. There are many unanswered questions, and our collective knowledge is changing and adapting along with the virus.
In a new report, IFPMA takes a deeply practical and fact-based look at lessons learnt so far, to examine what needs preserving and strengthening; and what needs fixing so that the mistakes from this pandemic are not repeated.
