James Ellman an industry expert will discuss the following topics based on his latest book:

- How the decline and fall of the internal combustion engine will impact auto makers, auto parts makers, auto parts retailers. Similar discussion for trucks and aircraft.

- How global warming will pressure developed market banks and real estate companies in regions closer to the equator.

- The impact of rising sea levels and more powerful storms will lead to a boom in infrastructure building to harden existing urban areas and transportation networks.

About

Mr. Ellman holds a bachelor’s degree in history and economics from Tufts and an MBA from Harvard University. He spent more than 20 years managing mutual funds for Merrill Lynch and Invesco and then hedge funds for Seacliff Capital and Ascend Capital. He lives near San Francisco and now dedicates his time to writing and promoting impact investing. His book, Hot Stocks: Investing for Impact and Profit in a Warming World was published in July 2020 by Rowman & Littlefield.
