A hands-on workshop where we learn the basic principles of Chinese writing, and some of the most commonly used characters through engaging writing practice.
We'll learn about strokes, radicals, and the basic structures of some of the most commonly used characters with this hands-on workshop, as we explore the basic principles of Chinese character writing together with an engaging hands-on writing practice.
Writing by hand is an important component of building character recognition and visual comprehension, creating a stronger understanding of the characters while strengthening our muscle memory of how they are written. It also helps us develop focus and organize our thoughts as we write.
So, let's pick up a little pen or pencil, and practice writing together!

Recommended for children ages 4+. Adults are welcome to accompany and join in as well.

This is a free online session. Traditional Chinese characters will be taught and the workshop will be held in Cantonese.
