About this event

Science & Tech • Science

This workshop is open to students, teachers, professionals in retail and gastronomy, or simply chocolate lovers curious to better understand the hidden journey behind each bar.

In this workshop, participants are invited to step into the complex world of sustainability in the cocoa sector. Together, they will explore key issues such as living income, child labour, climate change and deforestation, and transparency in supply chains.

By engaging with these themes from multiple perspectives, participants gain a deeper understanding of who the main actors in the cocoa value chain are, what drives their decisions, and why collaboration is essential. The session highlights the interplay between social, environmental, and economic goals, while also surfacing opportunities for joint solutions.

Beyond facts and figures, participants experience firsthand the challenges of balancing different interests and the power of collective problem-solving. They leave with new insights into the role of multistakeholder platforms like SWISSCO, and a stronger sense of what “together we can achieve more” means in practice.

In collaboration with the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa.
