Making Projects Resilient and Robust Against Disruption and Turbulence.

The increasing complexity and uncertainty require new ways to deliver and manage projects. In today’s VUCA world, business environments reached a point of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, requiring enhanced adaptive measures that go beyond the common agile methods. A testament to this situation is the fact that most projects today are having difficulties delivering on their promises, often ending up in firefights, or are failing their delivery altogether.A consequence is a fatal cycle of demotivated project team members that are increasingly working long hours, leading often to exhaustion or even burnout, and eventually a decrease in project performance.Projects become fragile constructs this way and in today’s uncertain world easy targets for failure from disruption.Projects need to become more robust and resilient to bounce back from unexpected events without losing sight of project aims and their value proposition. However, reactive approaches and/or common agile methods are not sufficient anymore and project leaders and their teams need to adopt abilities to anticipate, adapt, and grow with uncertainty – in other words, become navigators of their practice. In this FREE webinar, attendees will learn about the key elements to establish strategic project resilience and robustness, based on the concepts of agility and adaptive capacity.
