Empathy has never been more important to democracy and the future of humanity.The good news: Humans are born to empathize, empathy has been a part of our successful evolution as a species, and its extending is good for us. This interactive conference will answer these key questions: • What is empathy – and why is it so important? • How can we become more empathic leaders? • How can we improve our mental health with self-empathy practices? • How can organizations deploy purposeful empathy for social good?Animated by Anita Nowak.Dr. Anita Nowak is an empathy evangelist, author, TEDx speaker, podcaster, awardwinning educator, certified coach, and founder of Purposeful Empathy by Design, an advisory firm that helps purpose-driven organizations create cultures of empathy and social impact. She teaches the course Happiness Means Business and Social Entrepreneurship &amp; Innovation at McGill University.
