Financing the Future
Building sustainable SRH financing through domestic resources, catalytic capital and South-South cooperation.
Sexual and reproductive health is not only a health and rights priority. It is also a long-term investment in human capital, gender equality, productivity and economic resilience.
Yet many countries continue to face constrained fiscal space, fragmented financing, high out-of-pocket costs and growing pressure on public budgets. As concessional resources become scarcer, governments and partners need new approaches that protect essential SRH services while using available resources more strategically.
Held alongside UNGA81, this high-level dialogue will bring together Finance and Health leaders, development partners and financing institutions to explore how countries can move from financing gaps to sustainable and investable solutions.
The session will focus on three connected priorities: what governments must fund through domestic public resources, where concessional and catalytic capital can help leverage additional investment, and which parts of the wider SRH ecosystem can support appropriate investment, including supply chains, local manufacturing, diagnostics, infrastructure, digital health and technology-enabled delivery.
The discussion will also explore how South-South and triangular cooperation can move beyond knowledge exchange to support capital mobilisation, country-led pipelines and finance-ready SRH initiatives.
This session is designed for leaders and partners interested in building practical financing pathways that strengthen SRH systems, improve equity and support long-term impact.
