About this event

On the 27th of October, a few days ahead of the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 27, our monthly Geneva SDG Community Coffee will focus on the interlinkages between SDG13 on Climate Action and the triple planetary crisis, which was formally recognized last year in the Glasgow Climate Pact at COP26.

David Goodman, Policy Officer at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) will speak to us about biodiversity in the context of COP27 and where we stand with the proposed post-2020 global biodiversity framework.

Frederique Bourque, Associate Human Rights Officer at United Nations Human Rights (OHCHR) will share insights on the decision of the UN General Assembly to declare access to clean and healthy environment a universal human right.

More speakers to be announced.

This community coffee will also be a chance to discuss expectations ahead of COP27 more broadly, and we welcome input from all participants to the discussion.

Please, register by 26 October at the latest to save your seat.
