Have you always wanted to explore and acquire new technical skills but haven’t found the right moment yet? Are you thinking about a career change and a move into the world of technology? Then, #herHACK, the female-led hackathon, is for you!

💥 ABOUT #herHACK

#herHACK is the largest female-led hackathon in Switzerland. The promotion of women in technical professions is more relevant than ever in view of the increasing shortage of skilled workers. With a share of around 80 percent, men dominate the tech industry. This makes it all the more difficult for women and other underrepresented groups to gain a foothold in this field. That's why #herHACK is taking place again this year. We will set you challenges within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and you will work on creative solutions in a limited amount of time. Of course, not only women but also genderqueer people are welcome.

💥 FROM WORKSHOPS TO THE BIG FINALE

Workshops

We run physical workshops in seven locations. At the kick-off of your #herHACK workshop, you will learn about the challenges set, get an insight into topics that will help you at #herHACK (design thinking, coding, pitching,...), and you can make your first contacts within the network.

💥Online hackathon

After the workshop, you and your team have four days to work on your idea. This will take place exclusively online, via a platform that we provide to you.

💥 Online finals, 22 October, 24h

With a bit of luck, you and your team will be among the finalists and have the chance to continue working on your solution for 24 hours. And you will get the chance to bring others who did not make it to the final into your team as reinforcement.

💥 Closing event Swiss Digital Days, 27 October, 17:00-19:00, Zug

At the closing event of the Swiss Digital Days 2022, you will have the unique opportunity to pitch your idea to the jury and the audience. The jury will then decide on the winning team together with the audience.
