Investing in the Rising Adaptation Economy

As the world faces climate change of uncharted severity, investment in adaptation will be the keystone of tomorrow’s value. This is a defining transition for the policy, business, and investment communities, deeply interlinked with technological change, nature at risk, and geopolitical shifts. Policy action is vital to create a virtuous cycle: making adaptation markets profitable to attract commercial capital, driving innovation, and increasing affordability, especially for low and middle-income households in vulnerable regions. Building on the The Rise of the Adaptation Economy framework launched at COP30, the discussion will draw on preliminary results from an index aimed at mobilizing private capital for transformative adaptation.
