About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

In this workshop, you will have the chance to use the Meta Quest 3! Alternating between live demos and trying for yourself, you will learn how to create a vase in VR. In groups of two, you’ll dive right into Gravity Sketch and receive assistance from the staff. Once you’re happy with your design, you can print it (read requirements below) or we do it for you. After the workshop, you can take the VR headset home for two days (read requirements below) if you want to refine your vase. You will receive an email when your vase is ready for pick-up in the Makerspace.

Preparation

  • Please bring your laptop. We will need it to stream what you see in VR to your laptop, so your team partner can see what you are doing, and we can help you better.
  • Optional: If you want to borrow the headset after the workshop and take it home with you, you need the General Introduction at the Makerspace. Check https://sph.ethz.ch/makerspace for more infos.
  • Optional: If you want to 3D print something yourself, the FDM 3D Printing Introduction and General Introduction at the Makerspace are required. Check https://sph.ethz.ch/makerspace for more infos. Having your vase printed by the staff is an exception of this workshop.
