Introduction

Through deepening a sense of connection and presence—and exploring its inseparable relationship to the surrounding nature—one's inner creative source and inspiration will be nurtured. The proposed activities are a collection of nature-connection practices rooted in Aboriginal culture and Buddhist tradition. Each participant will journey to a place of authenticity and vulnerability, where creativity can be cultivated. Throughout the unfolding of these explorations, participants will both give and receive support by collaboratively holding space during moments of welcoming and sharing.

Program

This is a series of weekly gatherings throughout the month of May. We are aiming to bring together a group of six curious, creative beings to journey through this program together. During these small gatherings, there will be space for welcoming one another, introducing and exploring our creative intuition through nature-connection practices, journaling time, and a co-supported sharing circle at the end. Non-judgmental listening is essential. Inquisitiveness about each other’s experiences will be welcomed when supporting self-reflection and collective inspiration.

Foundation

Our program has drawn inspiration and is in support of the Centre of Ecological Philosophy, founded by the photographer Alan McFetridge. For further information please visit:

Objectives

  • To support individuals in finding their creative sources by working with intuition and spacious awareness in nature.
  • To increase awareness of our connection to nature, remembering the intrinsic and symbiotic relationship between human reality and its origin and holder, and to trigger individual and collective reflections about our presence on Earth.
  • To seed a flexible network of artists/creatives with shared values to support collective inspiration and art-making.
  • To explore possibilities of founding a contribuiting project to the Centre of Ecological Philosophy.
