Nature Detective Walk: From Gempen to Arlesheim

Calling all nature, cliff and forest lovers!

Join us on Sunday, 16 June from11:00-15:00, as we hike down the local mountain from Gempen Turm to Arlesheim!

Meeting place: 10:18 Bus (B67) from Dornach to Gempen

How to get there: Bus 67 to Gempen Dorf + 20 min walk to Gempen Turm. This walk is not a loop so it is best to take the bus up from Dornach and walk back down. You can park in Dornach-Arlesheim or get there easily by public transport.

Tips: This is a longish half-day hike, quite demanding so bring a picnic, plenty of water and some stamina:-) That being said a great benefit of this walk for kids 4+ is that it is all downhill. It is not suitable for strollers and, due to some cliffs and steep sections, only suitable for toddlers who are used to hiking or with parents willing to carry them part time. Many highlights await from the climbing tower, to sweeping views, forest paths and ending at the wonderful ponds and caves of the Ermitage Arlesheim.

When selecting tickets, please make sure you have one paid "main ticket" for yourself and one "additional attendee" ticket for each additional family member attending. (Example: Two parents + two kids= 1 "main ticket" = 3 "additional attendee" tickets.) This will help us to charge a flat-rate per family, but still allow us to have an accurate headcount.
