About this event

We are delighted to invite you to our 2021 Global Health Innovation Exchange event titled “New Horizons for Investments in Innovations for Global Health and Resilient Health Systems” to be held on the margins of the Special Session of the World Health Assembly on November 30th 2021 from 17:00 - 18:30 CET at the InterContinental Hotel in Geneva.

This invitation-only session brings together political and programmatic leaders in health, such as Ministers, Geneva-based missions and global agency leads, with founders representing transformative health technologies as well as selected private and public sector investors with expertise in investing in global health and technology.

The event brings together key leaders from both public and private sectors around the connecting theme of developing new and innovative models for scaling access to healthcare and building resilient health systems. The session gives space to policy makers to dialogue with leading investors and innovators to explore how to best connect funding flows to the most critical innovations in healthcare to support their sustainable and effective scale-up.

This event also showcases outstanding innovations with the potential to transform healthcare in the Global South, exploring through practical examples the role innovations, such as digital health solutions, can play in future-proofing health systems. The discussions will dive into innovative models of funding and ecosystem building and begin connecting the financing partnerships to the essential innovations.

In line with its role as a global health and innovation connector, the HIEx will also use the event to present a number of new initiatives, innovations and partnerships that will form key pieces of the future health innovation ecosystem, have a potential to work with countries to improve their health outcomes, and that strengthen the HIEx partnership network.
