Module 7 of Lib4RI’s introductory course «Searching & Managing Scientific Information» for PhD students and other affiliates of Eawag, Empa, PSI and WSL

 

AIMS

The course aims to introduce the basic concepts and importance of research data management. Participants will be able to identify the relevant strategies and tools to implement research data management in their research practices.

CONTENT

  • Life cycle of research data
  • Adequate metadata documentation for your code and data
  • Storing and publishing data
  • Writing Data Management Plans (DMP) and using OpenBIS (ELN)

ORGANISATION

  • Presentations with examples/exercises
  • Course language is English
  • Please bring your own laptop
  • No course fee
