Our next event on U.S. Mass Tort Litigation will take place on Monday, 3 April 2023, 17:00 to approx. 18:30, at The Quai Zurich Campus, Mythenquai 2, 8002 Zurich.
The cost and uncertainties of the U.S. legal system are well-known. The way U.S. courts handle mass personal injury and other mass tort claims can create liabilities for policyholders and their insurers that are difficult to predict but potentially overwhelming in magnitude. The upcoming program will examine the unique combination of risk factors that U.S. litigation presents for policyholders and insurers and review some of the most important recent cases.
Two leading American insurance lawyers will speak on the dynamics of U.S. litigation and show how those dynamics have played out in major recent cases, potentially including the Roundup (glyphosate herbicide), Johnson & Johnson (talcum powder) and 3M (hearing protection) litigations.
