Event description
In this event, psychologist Emilia Vasella will teach what to do to prevent & manage mental crises and why self-compassion is important.

About this event

Stress, changes, painful events and other strains can cause people to experience a mental crisis. Sometimes the inner balance is disturbed to such an extent that the usual coping strategies are no longer sufficient or no longer work.

**Does this resemble your current situation? Or has your inner balance been disturbed in the past?**

Since mental crises are common, the answer to one of these questions might be yes. Mental crises can affect anyone, regardless of age, education, profession, origin, and social status. In this MeWell event with psychologist and counselor Emilia Anna Vasella, you will get to know what you can do to prevent and manage mental crises and why self-compassion is a significant personal resource in a mental crisis. Furthermore, you will be encouraged to reflect on your own experiences with mental health crises and possible personal resistances that have arisen in such crisis. There will be a breakout session to explore the topic in more depth in small groups.
