Description
The Canton Zurich is a major center of innovation in the fields of construction and building standards. The aim of this event is to bring major industry players together with start-ups, scientists, and representatives of civil society to discuss how innovation in the building sector can drive economic growth while contributing to achieving the UN sustainability goals.

18:40 - 18:50 input by Alexander Eisenhauer, Head of Airium™, LafargeHolcim, presenting a new mineral insulation technology, with a focus on its recycling and life cycle benefits.
18:50 - 19:00 input by Dr. Holger Hendrichs, greenTEG AG. greenTEG is a Zurich-based startup that develops sophisticated measurement systems to analyse building physics, including the thermal performance of walls.
19:00 - 19:15 input by Dr. Petrissa Eckle, sus.lab, ETH - Scouting and evaluation of innovative and sustainable construction materials.
19.15 - 19.30 Input by Dr. Olivier Enger, Senior Innovation Manager, Technology Scouting and Incubation at BASF, presenting his topic “Towards materials and systems for sustainable construction”
19:30 - 21:30 Apéro and Buzzing
Join us for this informative thematic evening event as we address the UN SDG #11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities and #9 - Industry, Innovation, Infrastructure. There will be a short panel discussion with questions from the moderator and the audience, followed by an apero and a chance to network.
