Zurich Art Weekend

'Life As An Artwork', a two-hour tour to discover exhibitions in several art venues around Zurich.

Kunsthaus Zürich

Join us for a thematic two-hour tour to discover exhibitions across art venues participating in ZURICH ART | JUNE with insights from students and alumni from the Master of Arts in Art Education Curatorial Studies of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).The tour will have a limited capacity, and will be held in English and/or German.Prior registration is required.Meeting point: main entrance Kunsthaus ZurichKeep yourself and others safe: please wear a mask during the tour. The classical image of an artwork begins in the artist's studio, moves between storage units, comes into the gallery spotlight and eventually finds its place perfectly above the dining table. But like our lives, artworks collect a trail of relationships between other works, people, politics, geographies... and so on. While walking through the city, our tour will take us to art spaces that represent the different facets of an artworks every day. Along the way, we will try to break down classical ideas about art by finding connections between the role of artists in the city, their artworks and our own every day.
