How turquoise can water be? | ZURICH ART WALKS
'How turquoise can water be?', a two-hour tour to discover exhibitions in several art venues around Zurich.
Join us for a thematic two-hour tour to discover exhibitions across art venues participating in ZURICH ART WEEKEND 2021 with insights from students from the Master of Arts in Art Education Curatorial Studies of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
The tour will have a limited capacity and will be held in English and/or German.
Prior registration is required. For organisational reasons, spontaneous sign ups will not be possible.
Meeting point: main entrance of Lowenbraukunst
Keep yourself and others safe: please wear a mask during the tour.
While walking along the Limmat-River which runs through the heart of Zurich, we will be exploring various art institutions by questioning different kinds of artworks and their forms of presentation.
Can I go in there?
What is the difference between a gallery and an off-space?
Am I attentive enough? How do artworks become part of an exhibition? And what is the color of water?
Together we will explore, discuss and think about art! (Marilena Raufeisen)
Part of the public programme of ZURICH ART WEEKEND 2021. For more information visit https://zurichartweekend.com
ABOUT MARILENA RAUFEISEN
Marilena Raufeisen is an artist and art mediator. Last year, she finished her studies in Fine Arts in Braunschweig, Germany and is currently in the Master of Art Education in Curatorial Studies program at Zurich University of the Arts. She is interested in looking, listening, walking and conversing — gathering knowledge but also dispersing it. Her practice isn’t about describing what should be perceived, but rather invites you to share experiences and engage in an invigorating exchange about art.
