Missing Maps
Missing Maps Zurich is a volunteer community based in Zurich and part of the global Missing Maps project. Together, we help map vulnerable communities around the world so that humanitarian organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), the Red Cross, and other partners can better respond to crises and reach people in need.
We meet once a month for a Mapathon - a collaborative event where volunteers of all experience levels use OpenStreetMap (OSM) and satellite imagery to create maps for humanitarian action. In addition to mapping, we occasionally welcome guest speakers from Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) and other humanitarian organizations who share insights and stories from their field work.
Whether you're interested in humanitarian action, global health, technology, or simply meeting like-minded people, you're welcome to join us. Our events are usually held in English, but depending on the participants, we are happy to host them in German as well.
