As Albuquerque's first public museum, the Maxwell is a free university institution working toward greater understandings of the fullness of human experiences in the Southwest and the world. Our vision is to help reconcile injustices, restore voices and realize community. We offer public programs and events that include concerts, exhibit openings, educational outings, Zoom and in-person artist talks, and much more. Find ourofferings here.

We offer free, illuminating academic and non-academic talks on the subjects of human evolution, archaeology, culture, arts, and heritage. Most talks and lectures take place in-person at the museum, but we sometimes also offer online events.
