Brandon Rainey is a multifaceted talent whose contributions span the realms of writing, directing, motivational speaking, and education. A proud graduate of Morehouse College and a native of Los Angeles, Rainey's career began with significant achievements as a drama teacher within LAUSD, earning accolades from Chase Bank, Center Theater Group, and the Inner-City Award for his innovative teaching methods. His directorial skills shone brightly as he directed the opening act for the Michael Jackson Tribute and track record of producing theater productions, arts festivals and events for the last 20 years. Under his guidance, students have clinched multiple citywide theater and film competitions, a testament to his ability to nurture and elevate young talent.
Currently serving as the Head of School at DNA Prep Academy, a middle and high school located in the San Fernando Valley, Rainey's influence extends well beyond the classroom. He is the author of "Man Laws 101," a reflective work on masculinity and personal growth. His role as Artistic Director of CBG Arts, nonprofit organization underscores his dedication to the arts, having developed theater and arts programs across various schools. For several years, this organization has partnered with the City of Inglewood and Cal GRIP, producing transformative theater productions for the City of Inglewood and ICEF Public Schools, significantly impacting the community and enriching the local cultural landscape.
