SouthWorks MakerLab Park Forest is a community makerspace that stresses helping getting new "makers" started. Whether you want to learn and use new technology (3D printers, robotics, laser cutters, CNC routers) or traditional woodworking and origami, we can help you get started.
We are also the only official Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship Program provider in the Chicago region. The program provides new and established crafters with info and skills to improve their chances of business success, whether on Etsy or other sales channels.
We also run programs to help local businesses do prototyping and inventors to create prototypes and find resources to get started- everything from how to start a business, how to test the market viability of your product, and how to find manufacturing and fulfilment resources.
