Merrill Images
John and Lisa Merrill are travel and social impact photographers who create images to evoke joy and wonder, inspire action and strengthen communities. After meeting through a personal ad and combining their passions for travel and photography on a year-long journey with 250 rolls of film, they founded Merrill Images in 1996. Their photos help tell the stories of destinations, outdoor adventure companies and non-profits around the world.
The Merrills are inspiring educators who enjoy nurturing others’ creativity. They help new and seasoned photographers (with all cameras, including phones) through in-person and online coaching and workshops, Seattle-area PhotoWalks, UnCruise small ship expeditions, and international photo adventures. Participants value the personalized instruction and enthusiastic encouragement that are a hallmark of every Merrill Images learning experience.
Based in Bellevue, Washington, John and Lisa relish the natural splendor of the Pacific Northwest along with its vibrant festivals and cultural events. Merrill Images is a member of the North American Nature Photographer’s Association and a Transformative Travel Council Ally.
