Defence Industry Security Community of Practice

The Community was established in 2022 by security practitioners, for security practitioners. It’s completely entity-agnostic and free to join; a space built purely to support the people who keep Australia’s Defence industry secure.Our purpose is simple:

• Build ability through genuine learning and development for those working across the Defence ecosystem.
• Share hard-won knowledge and real-world experience so no one is solving problems in isolation.
• Tap into subject matter experts to deepen understanding and uplift security practice.
• Create space for meaningful discussion that leads to stronger, more compliant, and more secure outcomes.
• Stay ahead of contemporary threats so members can prepare, plan, and mitigate with confidence.

This Community is open to security practitioners in the Defence industry, or those with a demonstrable connection in an adjacent discipline such as trade compliance, human resources, or risk & compliance. It is designed for new and developing personnel in the Defence ecosystem at front of mind, giving a collaborative forum to grow capability, ask questions, compare notes, and build connections.
