Plant a Forest of Ideas
Context - What is PaFoI?
PaFoI (Plant a Forest of Ideas) is a community movement that helps everyday people turn their local ideas, questions, and property/building headaches into real, working projects.
Think of it like growing a forest:
- Seeds: A problem, complaint, or idea someone shares during a chat, walk, or coffee session.
- Plants: A quick, 30-day mini-project or neighborhood experiment to test an idea.
- Forest: A permanent community group, local hub, or business deal that comes out of those mini-projects.
How it works in practice:
- Through public campaign events—like Let’s Placemake or neighborhood walks—we gather people's ideas, test them out with quick activities, and either hand them to local groups to keep running or route commercial and policy leads to partners like TSD or SCII.
