David Wu

David Wu is the Managing Director of Biophilic, a company that works with corporations and communities to design and implement solutions for complex challenges such as urbanization, climate change, ecosystem degradation, and inequity. He leads a team of experts who are on the ground, working alongside stakeholders to anticipate and respond to these challenges and make decisions informed by data, scientific evidence, and local realities and pressures.

With more than 15 years of professional experience in sustainable built development, David is passionate about creating future built environments that support daily contact with nature as an essential human need. He has successfully collaborated and partnered with various sectors and organizations, such as owners, developers, investors, community groups, culinary experts, biologists, scientists, and conservation organizations, to identify and execute environmental revitalization programs, crop protection and future food initiatives. He has also enhanced his skills in business innovation, problem solving, and organizational leadership, by completing several executive education programs from prestigious institutions such as Yale School of Management, Singapore Management University, MIT Sloan School of Management, and Tsinghua University. David is a frequent speaker and organizer of events dedicated to sustainability 4.0, climate change, food tech, and future food.
