Fraternity Without Borders – UK
Fraternity Without Borders UK is part of a global humanitarian network founded in Brazil in 2009, with the UK centre officially launched in July 2017
Who we are
A dedicated team of UK volunteers funding and coordinating projects in Mozambique, Madagascar, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal and Brazil .
What we do
• Support vulnerable and orphaned children (including those with HIV), elderly residents, refugees and families in extreme poverty .
• Run 30 community centres—providing food, clean water, basic healthcare, hygiene training and education—to more than 12,000 people monthly in Mozambique .
• Drill artesian wells; build homes; launch vocational courses (e.g., construction, electrical, hairdressing) and sustainable agriculture programs empowering local youth .
• In Brazil, back initiatives such as microcephaly treatment, refugee shelters, music education through the Young Emmanuel Philharmonic Orchestra, and outreach for drug addiction recovery .
Our mission
We aim to advance the spirit of universal fraternity—“one people, one heart”—creating sustainable dignity and empowerment, not dependency .
What our events do
We host international gatherings and local events designed to mobilise action: major conferences (like the forthcoming Second International Meeting in London), charity concerts, art gallery fundraisers, awareness-raising workshops, and volunteer “caravans” to project sites .
Why follow us
• Local impact, global roots – Projects are run by local teams across Africa and Latin America, trusted and effective.
• Transparent and accountable – Registered in the UK, active since 2009, with clear financial reports and no paid trustees .
• Engaged community – Events bring together donors, volunteers, beneficiaries and experts to generate real change.
