For the average player, navigating the unpredictable world of streetball is often fraught with frustration: too many players mean long waits, while too few make for a game that never started. Even after a great game, how many hoopers feel comfortable exchanging contacts and connecting?

Malik is one of many hoopers in NYC facing the same struggle. He envisioned a solution that would not only solve the logistical nightmare of finding the right court to play, but also nurture the community spirit that lies at the heart of street basketball. Founded in Harlem by a baller for ballers, HUPR was created as a community builder, enabling players to effortlessly find games suited to their level and availability, and even compete in local tournaments.
