The Stud

The Stud Bar has been open in San Francisco since 1966 — three years before the Stonewall Riots. And is one of the most famous queer bars in the US.

In 2016, 17 bartenders, drag queens, and DJs came together to save the bar from closing down. They formed the first worker-owned cooperative nightclub in the United States. Since then they've continued the Stud’s 60 year tradition of exciting and strange nightlife, slutty hookup spaces, and internationally renowned DJs and performers.
